Email Collection Toolkit
About Email Collection Toolkit
The project, its author, and updates to this website.
Email Collection Toolkit is local software for preserving and searching email collections. Each archive uses BagIt 1.0 and Mailbag 1.0 as its native storage format, with original messages in MBOX files and SHA-256 integrity information. These are the files the application works with, not a separate export. SQLite catalogs and search indexes are derived data; source mail is never modified.
